Eco-Friendly LED Backlight

Using energy-efficient LED as a backlight, the display achieves both high brightness and low power consumption. Compared to conventional CCFL backlighting, LED backlighting degrades more slowly, giving the display a longer lifespan. Since LED backlighting does not contain mercury, it minimizes environmental impact during disposal.

Diagnostic Accuracy with Factory DICOM Part 14 Calibration

To produce displays compliant with the DICOM Part 14 standard, EIZO carefully measures and calibrates every grayscale tone on its production line, ensuring the most accurate and consistent diagnoses.

Consistency in DICOM Part 14 Calibration

With the RadiCS LE quality control software package, DICOM Part 14-compliant calibration can be performed to restore the display’s factory brightness and grayscale tones, ensuring the most accurate and consistent image reproduction over time.

Easy Calibration with Built-in Calibration Sensor

An integrated front sensor (Integrated Front Sensor, IFS) is located on the front bezel of the display. The sensor measures brightness levels and grayscale tones and performs calibration according to the DICOM Part 14 standard. Without the need for connecting or disconnecting external devices, the IFS carries out Quality Control (QC) tasks without interfering with the medical image viewing area. This significantly reduces the workload and time required for quality control, as well as the display’s maintenance costs.

Multiple Brightness Levels

For monochrome imaging displays, the Hybrid Gamma function automatically distinguishes between medical applications (e.g., PACS viewers) and non-medical ones (e.g., tool palettes), displaying each at its optimal brightness level.

Reducing brightness in the tool palette area leads to less eye strain.

The accuracy of application distinction may depend on how images are aligned.

Verification of viewer software compatibility is required.

Save Energy Remotely

A user presence sensor switches the display to power-saving mode when the user is absent and turns it back on when they return, ensuring minimal energy consumption. In the latest RadiForce models, the sensor detects user presence through heat sensing. This new feature increases the detection range and angle compared to previous methods, making the sensor effective even when multiple displays are used simultaneously.

10-Bit Simultaneous Grayscale Display

10-bit (1,024 tones) simultaneous grayscale display enhances grayscale accuracy to match the limits of human vision and perception, helping radiologists detect even the most subtle and faint differences within a medical image.

A 10-bit graphics card and 10-bit viewer software are required for 10-bit display.

Brightness Uniformity for a Stable Image Across the Entire Screen

The Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) function ensures optimal brightness uniformity, which is difficult to achieve due to the inherent characteristics of LCD monitors.

Instant Brightness Stabilization for Immediate Viewing

At startup or when the display is turned back on, the patented EIZO “drift correction” function stabilizes brightness levels. Additionally, a sensor measures the backlight and compensates for brightness fluctuations caused by ambient temperature and aging over time.

Selectable Modes for Optimal Image Display

Selectable via the monitor’s front buttons, various display modes are provided to the user through the CAL Switch function, allowing adjustment of different medical image types—such as CR, CT, and endoscopic images—according to their specific requirements. In addition, auto mode settings can be selected via the Auto CAL Switch function.

Wide Viewing Angle

The wide viewing angle provided by EIZO maintains optimal color consistency even when images are viewed from an angle.

Guaranteed Brightness Stability Over Operating Time

EIZO’s confidence in the quality of its products also extends to brightness stability, which is covered along with all other monitor functions and settings within the operating time limits specified in the warranty section below.

Flexible Positioning for Optimal Functionality

The flexible EIZO stand allows tilt, swivel, and a wide height adjustment range, providing maximum comfort and ease of use according to your needs.
